# EP002: The Training They Said Didn't Exist and the Case That Could Change Every University

The DEI training was marked "required" in red. Dr. Owen Anderson refused — and on September 1, 2026, that refusal goes before the Arizona Supreme Court.
In this episode of The Outlaw Philosopher, Dr. Owen Anderson — professor of philosophy and religious studies at Arizona State University and a Bible-believing Christian — walks co-host Jorge Gil line by line through ASU's "Inclusive Communities" training: the claim that America is a currently white-supremacist nation, the call to "critique whiteness," white privilege and the "broke white person," decolonization, "infinite genders," and compelled-belief quizzes. Then he breaks down the case itself — Arizona Board of Regents v. Anderson — where the fight isn't yet about the training, but about whether a state employee even has the standing to sue his employer. Represented by the Goldwater Institute, Owen argues a principle straight from Thomas Aquinas: a law you cannot enforce is no law at all.
Part legal briefing, part philosophy, part frontier justice — and a warning to every parent, pastor, student, and donor about what the modern university actually teaches.
Dr. Owen Anderson — Christian Apologist. Philosopher. Writer.
