# EP001: The Dark Age of the Mind & The Outlaw Philosopher

How does a Bible-believing Christian spend 26 years inside one of America's largest public universities — earning tenure, rising to full professor, serving as Faculty Senate President — and conclude the institution has entered a dark age?
In this debut episode of The Outlaw Philosopher, Dr. Owen Anderson and co-host Jorge Gil trace two questions: how someone with those convictions survived and rose in the modern university, and what happened to the university while he was there. Along the way: the collapse of multiculturalism into "oppression studies," the Marxist oppressor/oppressed dialectic driving DEI, the crucial difference between power and authority, and what the university was originally built for. Owen also previews his case against ASU, headed to the Arizona Supreme Court on September 1, 2026.
This is the foundational episode — the map for everything the series explores in the weeks ahead.
Dr. Owen Anderson — Christian Apologist. Philosopher. Writer.
Produced by Worldview Media. New episodes weekly.
