# Family Worship at Home

A simple, regular time to turn together to God’s Word.

## Begin with a manageable rhythm

Choose a time your household can usually keep. A short, attentive gathering is a useful starting point.

If you live alone, these habits can also support your personal worship. If your household circumstances are difficult, ask the church for encouragement and guidance.

## Read, discuss, pray, and sing

- Read: choose a short Bible passage and read it aloud.
- Discuss: ask what it teaches about God and how you should respond.
- Pray: confess sin, give thanks, and bring particular needs to God.
- Sing: learn a portion of a Psalm together.
- Learn: discuss a catechism question in words your children understand.

## Try this together

Read [Psalm 23](https://biblia.com/bible/esv/psalms/23). Ask, “What does a shepherd do for his sheep? What does this Psalm teach us about trusting the Lord?” Pray for His care and guidance. Sing a portion your household is learning.

Then read [Shorter Catechism question 1](https://ctkrp.org/shorter-catechism/question-1-what-is-the-chief-end-of-man/) and talk about glorifying and enjoying God.
